‘Veduta anamorfica' (anamorphosis view)

The ‘veduta anamorfica' (anamorphosis view) of half an octagonal screened room overlooking a large terrace with flowers and Gardenia bushes has been painted on one wall of a very narrow corridor (Only seventy centimetre wide) opening into a dressing room .

The opposite wall of the corridor has been covered with mirrors and the result is the view of a full octagonal screened pavilion with an oval opening (coulee) in the ceiling.
