"Isis, Artemis Ephesia, Cerere."
Goddesses with many breasts were known with different names In Old Age …
In ancient Egypt the name of the Goddess was Isis, and she was the spouse of
Osiris.
Isis was the Goddess, Mother of plenty, abundance and inventor of the art of writing.
In ancient Greece her name was Artemis Ephesia, from the town of Ephesus, where a large temple was devoted to her.
In Rome her name was Cerere or Demeter.
All these goddesses share the same characteristic: they all have many breasts.
She is Nature, the Earth Goddess or the Nature of all things that are under the sun; for this reason the body of the Goddess is filled with many breasts since Nature nourishes all the things.
From her womb flows the Water of Life….
Depicting her in contemporary art is, at least in my intention, a good way to bring her to new life.
