Attraverso le effigi di 10 artisti dell’arte moderna Fabrizio Ruggiero propone di vedere il suono segreto della pittura nel vaso di Pandora dell’arte contemporanea costruendo un koan, un paradosso zen, per portare la mente fuori dal meccanismo del pensiero:

        La piccola chiesa sconsacrata di San Lorenzo, da anni destinata a spazio espositivo per artisti contemporanei, ne conserva ancora le caratteristiche originali.  Fabrizio Ruggiero colloca nella nicchia della pala d’altare A bruit secret & Pandora’s box,  l’affresco di un Ready-made di Duchamp inserito all’interno del vaso di Pandora utilizzando la chiesa per mettere in scena la rappresentazione di un’altra sacralità, giocando con alcune icone dell’arte moderna .

By making a koan, a Zen paradox, Fabrizio Ruggiero offers the possibility of seeing the secret sound of painting in Pandora’s box of contemporary art through the portraits of 10 modern artists:

The installation is site-specific for the spatial as well as the symbolic dimension of the small deconsecrated  San Lorenzo church  that has been used in the past as a gallery for exhibitions of contemporary artists
Fabrizio Ruggiero has invented a secular show on the walls, with ten portraits of artists of the past century, as icons of art, and placed the painting A Bruit secret & Pandora’s box in the large niche above the altar to bring the mind of the viewers out of mechanical thought even for just a single moment.
